SOURCE 1: "Royston Wood rambles a bit while Bob Copper sells a book" ('Folklines' by Stan Ambrose, BBC Radio Merseyside, 1973)

This tape from the Copper Family's private archive was kindly provided for digitalisation by Bob's daughter Jill and her husband Jon. They also allowed me to upload it on this website. Thanks once again, Jill & Jon! The radio programme from BBC Merseyside, compered by Stan Ambrose (1930 - 2016)[1], features interviews with Bob Copper and Royston Wood, studio recordings of the Coppers and the Young Tradition, and unreleased club recordings of Swan Arcade and of Royston Wood solo.

The book referenced is Bob Copper's Songs & Southern Breezes, published in September 1973, "a collection of songs and stories from the countryside".

No date is given for the tape, but the fact that Royston had already left Swan Arcade by the time of recording makes it likely that the programme was aired in October or November 1973. Royston is speaking about his dedication towards launching his solo career, and gives three glimpses into his solo repertoire.
